Kremlin Outlines Russia-EU Summit Agenda RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED June 03, 2012 The Russia-EU summit in St. Petersburg will address the economic crisis in Europe, integration in the post-Soviet area, Syria and Iran, as well as other issues, a presidential aide said on Saturday. The 29th Summit will be held on June 3-4 in Strelnya, a St. Petersburg suburb. On June 3, the parties will “exchange views about the situation in Russia and the EU, including in the context of the efforts to overcome the consequences of the financial and economic crisis,” Yury Ushakov said. On June 4, the summit will meet in a plenary session with the participation of “quite large delegations,” he said. “Prospecs of Russia-EU relations will be discussed in the context of the creation of common spaces,” the aide said, adding that will include progress on a new Russia-EU agreement. After the plenary session the participants will address international security issues, including North Africa, the Middle East, Syria, Lebanon, Iran’s nuclear program, and the situation on the Korean Peninsula, Ushakov said.
