Rouhani Says Iran in Nuclear Energy Talks With Russia to Continue Cooperation RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 28.09.2014 Tehran is currently discussing nuclear energy projects with Russia and will continue to cooperate with Moscow on the issue, Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said Saturday. "We are negotiating power generation using nuclear energy with Russia. We will continue the cooperation with Russia, as well as with other nations," the Iranian leader told the press. Earlier in September, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Moscow and Tehran would continue developing the projects on civilian nuclear cooperation. In August 1992, Russia and Iran signed a contract on the construction of the Bushehr nuclear plant. In September 2013, the first block of the power plant was transferred to Iran. It is to become fully operational in 2015.
