Kursk NPP: reduced power of unit No. 3 AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 11.01.2015 The power level of unit No. 3 of the Kursk NPP was reduced to 50% of nominal level following the permission of the Joint Supervisory Control Grid - Center. The power unit was reduced for additional analysis of the operation of the gas circuit and purification of helium. Currently the units 1-4 are in operation. The radiation background at the Kursk NPP and in the area of its location is at the level corresponding to normal operation of the units and does not exceed the natural background values.
