Lev Kochetkov turns 90 years AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 20.03.2020 March 20, 2020 marks the 90th anniversary of twice the USSR State Prize laureate, Honored Power Engineer of the Russian Federation Lev Alekseevich KOCHETKOV. CONTINUED BELOW Lev Kochetkov, (c) Sergey Stozhilov Lev Kochetkov participated in the development of reactors at Beloyarsk NPP, transportable NPP TES-3, ship installations, and Bilibino NPP. He took part in the startups of the Siberian NPP (Tomsk-7), two units of the Beloyarsk NPP, the TPP-3 NPP, and the A-1 NPP in Czechoslovakia. Since 1969, Lev Alekseevich began to work for the fast reactors. First of all, he participated in the development and commissioning of the BN-350 reactor in Shevchenko (now Aktau), in Kazakhstan. Then there were projects of more powerful BN-600, BN-800, BN-1600 reactor plants, of which only BN-600 and BN-800 projects have so far been implemented. We are pleased and proud to meet Lev Alekseevich, as well as the fact that Lev Alekseevich is one of our frequent interlocutors. The AtomInfo.Ru online newspaper published L.A.Kochetkov's memoirs about the First NPP, about the first Beloyarsk units, about the history of the fast program in the world from mercury to sodium.
