ROSATOM and Russian Far East and Arctic Development Ministry sign cooperation agreement on development of Great Northern Sea Route Communications Department of ROSATOM, PUBLISHED 03.09.2021 ROSATOM signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic in the framework of the VI Eastern Economic Forum. On behalf of ROSATOM, the agreement was signed by Director General Alexey Likhachev. On behalf of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the agreement was signed by Minister of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Tschekunkov. Respecting corresponding procedures stipulated by Russian legislation, the parties plan to take coordinated action to develop the Great Northern Sea Route with the aim of enabling the sustainable growth of export, coastal, and transit cargo traffic.
