Russia, China in Fast Neutron Reactor Talks RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED June 05, 2012 The Russian state-run civil nuclear corporation Rosatom may sign an initial agreement with Chinese energy companies to build a commercial fast neutron reactor in China this summer, following recent talks, Rosatom head Sergei Kiriyenko said on Tuesday. "We have discussed possible construction of a full-scale [nuclear] fast neutron reactor. This summer the companies [of the two countries] may sign protocols to work out the initial stage [of the project]," Kiriyenko told reporters. Rosatom and the China Atomic Energy Authority have also signed a long-term cooperation road map covering all bilateral projects in the nuclear energy sphere, he added. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a raft of economic agreements during his visit to Beijing on Tuesday.
